How Do I Save Money on My Project? It's getting tougher and tougher for families to be able to afford the home they deserve. The cost of living climbs higher and higher and it seems like the basic necessities of life are getting harder to obtain. The opportunity to be an Owner/Builder makes it easier for you to obtain the basic necessity of housing. You may already own a home, but would like a nicer, larger home in a better area. Maybe you are in an apartment and feel it is time to own something of your own so that you are not losing the money you are paying in rent. Buying an existing home may not save you any money, due to the maintenance and repairs. The reasons to build your own home are endless. There are benefits of many dollars of savings by being your own General Contractor and hiring your own sub-contractors. There are also additional savings in the work that you and your friends and family do, referred to as "sweat equity". A typical home may take six months to build over weekends, vacations and evenings, during that time you may also see a value appreciation in your project. All together it is not uncommon to see $50,000 to $70,000 in a positive equity position. Ask yourself, "Can I make that kind of money working part time in six months?" Of course some families do more work than others and everyone's projects are different. We cannot guarantee that you will realize that much, but we can tell you that every family has a positive equity position when they are done building. That is one reason the Lender is willing to loan on these projects and you are not required to come up with a large down payment. Most all projects end up with only a $6,500. "out of pocket" expense. Imagine being able to get into a home with what you may pay for a deposit on an apartment. Out West Homes is making it easier for you to get the home you deserve and save a considerable amount of money in the process. |
