Panelized home packages are complete with kiln-dried 2X6 Douglas Fir framing lumber, installed and trimmed windows and exterior doors, sheeted, Tyveked and in some cases siding installed. Floor systems, prebuilt interior walls, trusses, roof sheeting and loose siding are also provided. This allows the Builder to stand a home completely in a matter of days. Sometimes thought of as kit homes or prefabricated; panelized home construction differs in a few areas, the panelized home kit is considered stick built although the walls are preassembled in factory giving all the quality and more expected in any exclusively custom built home . The walls are left open on the inside so you are able to have electrical and plumbing options. There is no wasted lumber. Imagine picking up a 20 foot wall with the help of a crane and setting it down on your floor. It is simply nailed or bolted at the bottom (top plates and bottom plates are installed so all you have to do is nail your top plate) and go on to the next wall. Framing in factory not only allows speed and accuracy than framing on site, its more economical.
